5. Measurement of Durability Through Wear
The difference between just 2 mg and 150 mg of wear, i.e. 75 times greater, is critical. This means that a cheap product must be applied in a layer 75 times thicker than that of a good sealant in order to achieve the same durability as the best materials. The cheaper product thus involves much higher material and labour costs.

It will be objected that the technique used for measuring the wear is uncertain, and that there are many procedures. This point will be considered in another article.
