3. Risks in selecting industrial floors

In the floor-laying operation there are various risks which are indicated in the following table. The table is self-explanatory.

Risks in selecting industrial floors
  • Outdoor/indoor
  • Variabilities
  • Concrete
  • Aggregate
  • Admixtures
  • Contamination
  • Influence of moisture
  • Excess water in the concrete
  • Climate (Utilization)
  • Ground water
  • Rising damp
  • Risks because samples were sporadic
  • Risks due to cracking (e.g. danger with regard to water protection)
  • Risks due to different utilization (e.g. high-rack warehouse on mastic asphalt)
  • Communication risks (e.g. misunderstandings)
  • Intensity and type of preparation of the substrate
  • Safety at place of work (e.g. physiology, protection against explosions)
  • Unforseeable, contingent risks (e.g. asbestos powder for thixotropy)
